Let Me Set the Scene

*Cracks fingers* You’re an NBA All-Star. A 2024 NBA Champion. You’ve proven your talent and earned your place among the league’s elite. Your name? Jayson Tatum.

Then the 2024 Paris Olympics come around. You make the roster. Steve Kerr is the head coach. But despite your resume, he doesn’t play you a single minute in the gold medal game.

At that moment, you took it personally.

The NBA season tips off. You dominate. Game after game. Then comes the matchup everyone’s waiting for: Celtics vs. Warriors.

Will Tatum show Kerr what he’s really made of?
Will the waterboy get his revenge?

Campaign Structure

So, we’ve got our trending narrative—now what? Time to build the campaign. The goal: drive engagement.

We take the buzz around Jayson Tatum and pair it with a fresh headline moment. Then we add another layer: Will he prove himself to Steve Kerr?

We turn it into a live storyline—Tatum "evolves" each quarter: waterboy → benchwarmer → NBA Champ. But there’s a twist: he has to score at least three points in the quarter to level up. Every time he evolves, we drop free lineups.

That mechanic keeps our members locked in, quarter by quarter. More importantly, it keeps eyeballs on our page—pulling attention away from other sports accounts.

The result? A second layer of excitement, beyond just your fantasy lineup. People kept checking in—not just for updates, but to stay part of the story we were telling.

The #tatumwaterboy hashtag was trending on X too! (I wish I had a screenshot but just trust 🙏)
